Ordinary Decent Criminals

Following my own recommendation, I looked for a movie taking place in Cork before flying there. Couldn't find one. Fortunately, I had seen Ordinary Decent Criminals not that long ago. If not in Cork, at leat it takes place in Ireland.
The plot is quite simple: Kevin -Michael Lynch- Spacey and his fellows are just ordinary decent criminals. They don't kill people. They don't set bombs. They just rob banks. And museums. And jewelleries. Michael -Spacey- Lynch is not intersted in money but he loves being a showman.
Of course the policemen[1] try to stop them. But they can't. Still they try. But they fail. By the way, Kevin Spacey has two wives, Linda Fiorentino and Helen Baxendale (she was Emily, in Friends), and loads of kids.
The movie is pleasant. No masterpiece but pleasant indeed.
Highlights: 1)Kevin Spacey worked his irish accent out. He almost had a better irish accent that all the Irish actors -Colin Farrell played a small part. 2)Damon Albarn did the score. Nice.
Notes
[1] In Ireland, the police is called the guarda, and the policemen are the guardai (pronounce gardi).
Commentaires
